In my experience, brake fluid works really well on Faskolor paint. My friend used it on Pactra paint, and he said it took a little more work, but it was still really easy. I haven't tried it on any other kinds of paint.

I completely stripped a body just the other day. It's paint had been cured for about 6 months. It was a body that I thought was ruined because I botched the paint job pretty bad. My friend told me that brake fluid worked great for him and so I figured, "What do I have to lose?" and gave it a shot. It worked incredibly well - I couldn't believe how well it worked. My friend completely stripped a body a couple of weeks ago. It's paint had been on for 5 years.

I'd recommend doing a small spot test to make sure the brake fluid won't ruin your body. Dab some fluid onto a paper towel and rub away a small spot on the body. I only say that because the brake fluid may or may not have a chemical reaction to whatever paint you had used.

If your body has holes in it from mounting it to your chassis, then you'll have to tape over the holes so the brake fluid doesn't leak out. Pour some into the body. You'll want enough fluid so that you can easily swish it around and coat the inside of the body. Try not to use any more than you can swish around. Swish it around for about 10-15 seconds. Then dab some more brake fluid on a few sheets of paper towel, layered, and gently wipe the paint away. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, because the paint you're removing could possibly scratch the interior of the body, which could cause problems later on when you want to repaint it.

You'll get to a point where you're not removing much paint, you're just smearing it around. That's when you'll know that you need to rinse the body out so you can continue. Rinse it out in luke warm running water. Then dry it out with some paper towels and repeat the steps above until your body is crystal clear.

Make sure you use clean paper towels each time you work with it, otherwise you'll just be smearing the paint back onto the body. If you work at a slow to decent pace, you should be able to finish the body in around 15 minutes.

chissa però se rimane lucente o diventa opaco dalle foto è difficile capirlo, lui dice crystal clean ... sarà vero ?

secondo me ha usato una vernice non per lexan..... mi sembra strano che quella vernice ceda con l'olio... io questo trucchetto l'ho usato per i clacci modelli che vernici con i colori ad aerografo acrilici, ma non mi funziona sui colori per policarbonato....

io tempo fà provai con la benzina nitro per le macchinine e un pochino di acquaragia..è venuta però una volta asciutta è rimasta un pò opaca..Comunque non lo rifarei MAI più perchè ho perso 10 anni della mia vita a respirare quello schifo e a lavarmi le mani che nonostante i guanti me le ha impregnate tutte!

io col dot 4 ci ho corretto dei piccoli errori passandolo col cotton fioc ed è venuto perfetto!!!

ma ho dovuto strofinare un bel po...
