Messaggio New videos from DRIFT69! Check here every week!

It was just after some typhoon passed by (not too close) and so I took my chances and went out to try to film my practice. It was windy, after 3 days of rain, but good fun. Nice to be out in little cooler weather. I don't like to film at night, because the quality is not as good. I tried to use 30fps, but it shows on slow motion that it was a bad choice. My preferred choice is the 720p/60fps.
Other than that I had fun, build my own short track and tried to use a bit of tape instead of cones (due to wind) for my parking exercise. It was a good choice and I highly recommend it, because it was easier to see the position of my car and I didn't have to walk to fix the cones, every time I made a mistake :)

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 32 "Night Practice PART II"

Having no time during the day (I went to Kobe with my family for 3 days) I was forced to go out at niht again. I have to say that I like it a lot, but the final quality is not as good, so for the video purpose.... it is not the best option. On the other hand, no people, nice cool air and smooth surface makes it enjoyable for me. I started little bit late, because I had to take care of my kids until about 10pm. So by the time I set up it was about 10:30. So I had roughly about 1hour and 25 min until I had to start packing again. Still... Good fun....

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 33 Kodomono Shiro

In this movie I went back to my favorite place, Children's castle (Kodomono Shiro). I was hoping to get back to the empty pool I used all winter last year, but it was full of leaves due to typhoon that just passed near by :(. No biggy, I found my self place to practice and had good fun in little cooler weather.
I also made this track to the video. If you like any of my music, you can download it from the address bellow. Feel free to use it as long as you give credit to MSPDawgs/Kezo

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 34 Night Practice III

This week I went out again at night.
I didn't have time to go during the day due to my trip to Okayama,
so I was forced to go out after everybody went to bed.
I had good fun, considering that I had no idea what i will do.
It took me about 50 min to set up a course with lots of Front One-way action.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did making it :)
I also made this soundtrack to the video.

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 36 "Iyo City Park"

This week I went to check out a new plays in Iyo city. It is a park surrounding sport center, near the beach. It was windy and also it was closed when I got there, but I noticed, that I can get in from the back :) SO there was only me and couple of employees mowing grass and cleaning the grounds. They didn't complain about me setting my gear so I kept carrying on. The surface wasn't as smooth as I hoped for, but doable. The biggest problem was the space between the tiles and the unevenness of the surface. My wheels get stuck often on it. Another problem was that it was super windy and my markers kept falling over :) Oh well....
Nerveless, I was able to complete my video and also one more very short video for next week. Next two weeks I'm planning to film, edit and compose music for my Gymkhana 4 video so wish me luck :)
I hope you will enjoy this video as much as I did making it :)
I also made this soundtrack to the video.

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 37 Gymkhana 4.0

Finally, after being sick for two weeks, I managed to edit my new "Gymkhana4.0" video. I was planning to add more shots from the side of the car and from the top, but I couldn't do it due to me getting sick. I still had a great fun filming it and even managed to have a nice talk with the people who run the place. They told me I should come there on Sundays when there are more kids to enjoy it. Because I have only one camera, there are some shots with kids and some without... I left it like that just to show, that there was quite constant audience.
I hope you will enjoy this video as much as I did making it

This video is little different. I went to see Skrillex live to Osaka. I brought my car with me and did some drifting before the show as well as tried to show some of the Japanese culture. I hope you can still enjoy it.

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 39 Around and Under

I went to my favorite playground (Children's Castle) Kodomono Shiro, in Tobe. In this episode I went around and under some obstacles. I wanted to go even over the middle part, but it was too high in the middle and the car was getting stuck there, because it go lifted of the wheels... Well, there is always next time :)
I hope you will like this project and if you feel like, leave a comment.

Messaggio SKILL Concept - Project 40 2013 bodies and RC-ART tires

In this video I went out to try 2 new Mazda RX8 bodies from HPI Racing that I am going to use in the year 2013. The lighter green is not finished, because got accidentally sprayed by my son with black spray.
I also switched to new tires. This time I tried the ART5001 tires from RC-ART. I was impressed and absolutely love those tires. I think this is my new favorite tire :)
I also made this soundtrack to the video.

Messaggio SKILLISM 2013 - Project 1 "SKILLISM REVIEW"
Happy New Year 2013 to everybody!
I'm finally back drifting. Although I have broken my leg, I managed to get out there and tried to film something. I really missed the whole process, so I tried and did my best. I tried to recreate the Project 1 from last year and add something more to it. It wasn't easy. I had to carry all my gear about 500m from the parking, while hopping and supporting my self with crouches :)
Pics from filming are here:
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.402958783118962.92497.253041214777387&type=3
I managed to do it but almost died in the process. Fortunately I had my coffee mug with me so I could recover some strength. It also made me appreciate the time when I could freely run around and adjust the cones or the camera angle. This time I have experienced many problems and even forgot to pres rec on my GoPro, so the best of my day wasn't even there when I got home. I hope that you can still enjoy this video and I hope that next time I can do better than this. Thank you again for all your support and any (bad or good) comments are always welcome.

I also made this soundtrack to the video.

Messaggio SKILLISM 2013 - Project 2 Back from the Hospital

So, here I am :) Back from the hospital after my leg was broken and I had to undergo a surgery. Well, I'm ready for some side-way action!
I could finally manage to get out there and have a go. I did little practice to see if my car is working okay and if I can still do it. It feels like I was away for a year. It was rainy and so I had to find some place under the roof to do it. I finally managed to find a small place about 2x3m and I did my best. It wasn't my best drifting, but I had so much fun that I couldn't stop smiling hours after that.
Thank you all for your support. I hope you will enjoy it and get pumped up for some serious action this year.

Messaggio SKILLISM 2013 - Project 3 "New pylons"
Hi guys! This video was made to test new, shorter pylons I made based on Drift44's idea. I made mine from PVC pipe.
I painted some and others I covered with a yellow duct tape.
The tape worked better, because the paint was easily scratched.
Maybe rubber coating would work the best :)
I also used Nikon D7000 camera..
It was my first time to use it for filming and I have to say,
I miss my GoPro HD Hero 2 very much.
It was nice to be able to make shots with blored background,
but with my broken leg, it was hard to focus on adjusting the focus all the time.
I missed few shots badly, partially due to me being busy with drifting
and other stuff and partially that was too sunny to properly see if it is in focus or not.
Anyway I hope that you can get past the week points of this movie
and enjoy the show :) and the new pylons that worked pretty well.

Messaggio SKILLISM 2013 - Project 7 Drift circuit RC LunLun in Tobe

This time I visited my local drift circuit "RC LunLun", in Tobe, Ehime, Japan.
Staff and the people there were very friendly and I had a great time.
It was my first time to drive my car on a carpet and to be on a circuit.
It was a great experience and I hope to get hang of it soon :)
I also used very hard ABS tires so that didn't make it any easier.
It is very important to use the correct equipment and settings for different situations.
After I will visit RC-Art in couple of weeks, I will get me nice carpet tires
and some other stuff to make my life more fun :)

I also made this soundtrack to the video.
