new eco drift chassis
In the last few weeks, Overdose have been slowly unveiling their new prototype chassis. This is scheduled to be introduced at the 2015 Shizuoka Hobby Show on May 15, 16 and 17. This new chassis will be the third full chassis released by WeldxOverdose. It will be loosely based on the Vacula/Divall platforms with a slight redesign to accommodate the resin tub chassis. We suspect this will be the most inexpensive Overdose chassis to date.
Latest information from OD Developers is that the design is broken down into three distinct points.
The first is the resin tub chassis, which has been designed for optimal structural support and functional setup. The structure has been adopted the valuable lessons learned from their two previous chassis. Secondly, the mounting methods and appearance has been radically redesigned for better access and maneuverability. The third is the rear drive-train which is equipped with the newly designed Overdose gear case for better access to gear ratio adjustment.
This chassis will likely be available in 2WD and 4WD options. It is currently scheduled to be unveiled at the WeldxOverdose booth in May 2015 at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. They have invited all interested people to visit and take a closer look at this chassis!
